Number 1 Mistake Offline Biz Owners Make With Their Website
Last week, I talked a bit about why it’s detrimental to hire a webmaster to create your website, and how you would get a better ROI by having it created by a direct marketing firm. Now I want to talk about why this is.
A webmaster will not understand this key concept, but a direct marketer will. Many business owners have a website created, that offers no real call to action. You MUST have a clear cut call to action on each and every page in order for your visitors to do what you want them to do. Even if that call to action differs from page to page, never give them more than one action to take.
A novice who is new to the Internet might make the mistake of creating a website that asks the visitor to do many things all at once. They might be trying to sell a particular product, and at the same time, be coaxing visitors to actually visit your brick and mortar, and also have a link to a lead capture offering them something free in exchange.
This won’t do, and if it sounds familiar, you can bet it is a huge reason why you are not having the success you’d hoped for when taking your business marketing strategies online. People online are fickle, and easily confused when surfing. You should make everything absolutely as simple as possible for them, so that they barely have to think before doing what you want them to do.
Every single page should offer one type of call to action only. So if your page is your contact page, the goal is to get them to contact you. That is IT. Nothing else, just fill in the info below, contact me for a quote.
If you want them to visit your brick and mortar location, then that is the ONLY call to action that should be on that page. Please visit us at this location. On this day we are handing out free stuff. You don’t want to miss this great workshop we are offering our local client base. Visit us here (insert your address and directions to get there).
If you want to capture their contact info, sign up here for our free newsletter, or free tips on raising catfish, or our free ebook on making the most of your home buying experience. Whatever your offer, the call to action is sign up here to get that there. See? It’s not so difficult. So take a peek at your website, and evaluate whether or not it is doing these things. If it’s not, give me a ring.
To your success!

Online marketing is not merely for the contemporary product, producing a website or for letting customers purchase items ongoing. Online marketing can also include how a business owner can engage a work team. The measure of people who are examining computers, web design, and learning to host websites proves just how booming online marketing can make the employer, the employees, and the independent contractors. And with a comfortable Internet savvy team, your business profits can increase too.
I’ve been following your website for 5 days now and I should tell you I get something new from your article. and now how I can get news update from your blog?
